Varicose and Spider Veins
Varicose and spider veins are dilated blood vessels in the legs that take on a red or bluish color. They often create bothersome symptoms, which include aching, burning, swelling and cramps.
How can InnovaMed help? InnovaMed utilizes state-of-the-art technology to diagnose and treat varicose and spider veins. To begin, the patient will be evaluated by a physician using Terason ultrasound equipment. Colorflow Doppler "mapping" of the abnormal veins is then performed, after which an individualized treatment plan is made.
The techniques utilized are non surgical and involve no downtime. We can treat and eliminate reflux (leaks) in the greater saphenous veins non surgically, which up until recently, required surgical stripping and prolonged recovery time. Additionally, all treatments are performed in our office and do not require anesthesia.
Every effort is made to work with the patient to obtain insurance coverage for the treatment sessions of symptomatic varicose veins. Medicare, however, covers treatment of all symptomatic varicose veins.
In the event that insurance coverage is not available, InnovaMed offers reasonable pricing and a simple interest-free payment plan for the treatment of cosmetic spider veins. We provide a written estimate of all treatment to our patients to facilitate planning.
Unlike many offices, at InnovaMed, evaluation and treatment is performed by a physician. Dr Tracy Brito MD, Board Certified in Internal Medicine and member of the American College of Phlebology, specializes in the evaluation and treatment of varicose and spider veins.
We take this approach, as we believe that "you deserve a doctor's care."
As with all of our services a free consultation is encouraged. This will provide you with a private, no-obligation opportunity to meet with our doctors and discuss your individual needs. For further details regarding treatment of varicose and spider veins, visit www.innovamedveins.com.
Lasers are very effective in treating unsightly spider veins, both on the leg and face. By disrupting the vein without affecting the surrounding skin, laser treatment is a relative painless procedure that can quickly diminish the appearance of spider veins. There are several ways to treat spider veins on the face. Lasers have been used successfully, alone or in combination with sclerotherapy.
